Porto Is On The Brink Of Being Awarded The Champions League Final Ahead Of Wembley

UEFA is making plans to announce the showdown between Manchester City and Chelsea will be staged at the Estadio do Dragao after receiving assurances over the size of the crowd at the game.

European football’s governing body is expected to rubber-stamp the move today before confirming ticketing arrangements for travelling fans similar to those planned in Istanbul.

The final capacity for the game has still to be determined but City and Chelsea will each be allowed to bring more than 4,000 supporters to the match.

Manchester City and Chelsea fans are currently banned from travelling to the game under border restrictions scheduled to be relaxed on Sunday.

All elite football matches in Portugal are currently behind closed doors.
