The Telegraph journalist has shared that Wolves are currently in talks over a loan move, but plenty of other clubs are interested.
The Irons are joined by Brighton and Atalanta watching the Korean intently before the August 31 deadline.
Writing on his personal Twitter account, McGrath shared the update that will leave the Hammers faithful crossing their fingers.
“Wolves are in talks with RB Leipzig over loan deal for South Korea forward Hwang Hee-chan,” he wrote.
“Other clubs such as West Ham, Brighton and Atalanta monitoring him.”
David Moyes has admitted this week that he is desperate to sign a new striker before the August 31 deadline.
Michail Antonio is currently the only senior forward available, and with his injury record, it surely wouldn’t be smart to rely on only him.
The record-breaker has enjoyed a phenomenal start to the new season, but all it takes is one setback to leave us with nothing in the final third.
Any new addition would play second-fiddle to Antonio, but would surely get regular game time given the rotation that he needs to look after his body.
It may be time to hijack Wolves’ talks, with a loan move perfect for all parties, especially the Irons.
